VITAMIN B12 is a powerhouse nutrient that improves a wide variety of health impairments, including boosting your immune system. It does this by keeping your metabolism working at a high efficiency to enable the maximum absorption of all essential vitamins and minerals from your diet to keep the immune system topped up and functioning well, and thus providing you protection on a daily basis.

Ageing means that we absorb less Vitamin B12 from food. It is estimated that 85% of us are not getting the necessary amount of B12 from our diet, which can cause severe and irreversible damage. Levels only slightly lower than recommended can cause symptoms such as fatigue, poor memory, breathlessness, headaches, and pale skin. In extreme cases Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause symptoms of mania and psychosis.

Vitamin B12 is not commonly found in a plant-based diet, therefore vegetarians and vegans are particularly susceptible to a B12 deficiency.
