Treatment Snapshot

Duration
From 15 minutes upwards, depending on treatment area

Anaesthesia
Topical anaesthetic cream will be applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment

Contraindications
Pregnancy and breast feeding, Diabetes, Active herpes simplex, Auto immune conditions

Downtime
Minimal – dependant on the lifestyle of the patient. If you work in an office, for example, there is no medical reason why you cannot return to work within a couple of days, although due to associated swelling and scabbing you may wish to wait until the skin has fully recovered. If, conversely, you work in an environment wherein there may be a higher risk of infection, for example somewhere where you are exposed to dust or other particles, or where you’re required to be outside in the sun, it is advised that you wait until your skin has fully recovered. This can take anywhere from 3-8 days

Final Result
For the removal of skin tags/moles, sometimes the results can be seen immediately, but may take up to 2 weeks. For eyelid tightening, results are cumulative; a noticeable improvement will be found after one treatment, however further treatments may be required depending upon the severity of the sagging of the skin and in order to gain a more striking result

Suitable For
People with mild to moderate fine lines and wrinkles and sagging skin on the eyelids that do not wish to go down the surgical route due to financial or other associated implications. Also suitable for those with benign moles/skin tags (that have been previously checked by a doctor) that they wish to be removed for aesthetic reasons

Plasma soft surgery is a ground-breaking treatment that offers an outstanding alternative to surgery and procedures that were, until now, highly invasive. With no cutting of the skin and no stitches, soft surgery has the added benefit of minimal downtime and discomfort whilst giving highly significant results.

It is commonly used for treating loose, sagging skin around the eyes, brow lifts and wrinkles, and can even be used to treat acne scarring, remove skin tags, and help rejuvenate very deep lines and wrinkles.

How Does Plasma Soft Surgery Work?

The procedure involves an innovative medical plasma device, known as a Plasma Pen, which uses ionisation of the gases in the air to form plasma. This creates a small electrical arc that treats problem areas.

What to expect?

The Plasma Pen is moved evenly over the treatment area and a small electrical arc is formed between the device and the skin. It’s this electrical arc that stimulates the skin’s regeneration response, resulting in tighter, firmer skin. The procedure is simple and effective, and involves minimal risks and downtime compared to that of surgery, at a fraction of the cost.
